South Carolina is beginning to open up a bit, with social distancing still in place. One place you can go, and social distance with ease is the golf course. Fortunately, for residents and guests, we have some of the most magnificent and beautiful golf courses here in Hilton Head for your enjoyment.
If you look forward to the RBC Heritage every year you will be happy to know that the 52nd RBC Heritage by Boeing was rescheduled for June 18-21. We won’t be able to gather in crowds and tents with friends and the occasional celebrity citing, but we will be able to watch the tournament on television.
With that said, we start our list with Harbour Town Golf Links.
Harbour Town Golf Links
Home to the RBC Heritage Golf Tournament and located at the Sea Pines Resort in Sea Pines, this golf course is high on our list. Designed by Pete Dye and renowned golfer Jack Nicklaus, the golf course is both beautiful and challenging.
Oyster Reef Golf
Enjoy 190 acres of this exquisite 18-hole championship course. Surrounded by beautiful lagoons, vegetation, and scenic views of Hilton Head Island. This inspiring golf course combines challenging golf with stunning natural views. Golf course architect Rees Jones used the beauty of Hilton Head as the backdrop for this beautiful golf course.
Hilton Head Nation
This inspiring golf course was designed by PGA tour design consultant and National Architect Award Winner, Bobby Weed, and Hall of Fame golfer, Gary Player. They combined their unique sense of style and philosophy to create this magnificent 18 hole golf course. Located a mile past the Hilton Head bridges in Bluffton, SC, this pristine course is considered player-friendly for the golfer who likes to hit a few balls with friends and more challenging for the serious golfer who chooses to play the Black Tees.
Palmetto Dunes Golf
Surrounding this beautiful resort are three magnificent and challenging golf courses. Palmetto Dunes resort and golf courses are all about the Hilton Head experience and lifestyle.
Robert Trent Jones
A challenging and fun round of golf for players of all levels. This golf course is surrounded by a lagoon that brings you down to par-5 10th, revealing the beautiful views of the ocean.
This is where golf legends like Tiger Woods, Phil Michelson, and David Duval refined their golf games. Arthur Hills, where college golf tournaments are taken to the next level.
The George Fazio course is for the accomplished golfer. Known as one of Hilton Head Island’s highly rated championship golf courses with the only par 70 and several long par 4’s.
