Hampton Lakes is the Hilton Head area’s premier private lake community. The highlight of the community is the 165-acre freshwater lake that includes 7 miles of navigable waterways and 15 miles of shoreline. The lake, together with about 340 acres of nature preserve, creates plenty of open space. Most lakefront homes and lots will accommodate boat slips for easy backyard access to everything the lake offers.
Nature Trails
About 9 miles of hiking and biking trails and boardwalks wind throughout the 340 acres Nature preserve, and along the shore of the lake and around the perimeter of the community.
Swimming
Hampton Lakes has a lovely family-oriented resort-style pool with a lazy river. In addition, there is an adults-only pool with private shaded cabanas, a children’s water play area with squirting pelicans and bubblers and a lakefront sandy beach with fire pits.
Crystal Lake
One of the most anticipated amenities is the Crystal Lake, a Caribbean-inspired, large lake with a with sandy beach, crystal clear waters, tiki huts and paddle boards. The sandy shore will have lounge chairs and tiki huts and will taper down into the lake, reaching 12 feet at its deepest point.
Campsite
The Outpost included covered sites for 4-8 person tents, a picnic pavilion, fire rings, bathhouses, fishing rod stands, clothes drying racks, canoe and kayak storage, and launch.
Dog Park
Dogpaddle Park includes an oversized fire hydrant convenience station and picnic shelters.
Golf Nearby
Equity golf memberships are available at nearby Hampton Hall offering a Pete Dye Signature Golf course and at nearby Berkeley Hall, a Tom Fazio course and one of the finest practice facilities and learning centers in the world.
Boating
Doc’s Boathouse is home to a variety of quiet watercraft for member use: kayaks, canoes, Carolina Skiffs, Duffy Boats and a Sun Tracker. Or you may launch your personal boat, up to 22 feet with a motor size to about 25 hp.
Fishing
The lake has been designed with a variety of underwater habitats to enhance fish production of Tiger Bass, and others. Shop for all your bait and fishing needs at the Tackle Box.
Fitness
A large state-of-the-art fitness center offers training, Pilates, cardio, a hydro-jet pool and Gyrotonics.
